Formal Inauguration Ceremony Held at Sant Gadgeji Maharaj Auditorium
Lucknow : The much-awaited summer workshops organized by the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi, Lucknow, commenced on May 27, 2025, with a formal inauguration ceremony held at the Sant Gadgeji Maharaj Auditorium. The event witnessed the presence of all instructors and participants, marking the official beginning of the cultural and artistic training season.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Akademi’s Director, Dr. Shobhit Kumar Nahar, accompanied by the panel of expert instructors. These included Keval Kumar (Folk Music), Gulshan Bharti (Semi-Classical Vocal), Rahul Awasthi (Classical Vocal), Dr. Pawan Tiwari (Tabla), Dr. Manju Malkani and Neeta Joshi (Kathak Dance), and Shubham Tiwari (Theatre Workshop).
The workshops aim to provide in-depth training in various Indian performing and visual arts. The disciplines covered this year include:
